Project Overview: Gun Permitting Application for Law Enforcement Agencies

Antares created an online gun permitting solution for use by law enforcement agencies.   The new software program allows the user to submit an application and pay for a permit through the agency’s website.  This new offering provides a better and faster submission method for the general public.  It also enables the law enforcement agency to handle the requests in a more streamlined process.

The software is designed as a customizable, multi-tenant forms generator with integration to 3rd party payment providers.  This design allows for the configuration of a new form for any agency wanting to provide an online application. The software includes an administrative back-end component for the agency to process the application, print the permit, and notify the applicant of the permit status.

Project Overview: Bayou Steel Group- Embedded Staff

Antares Technology Solutions was hired by Bayou Steel Group (BSG), a Louisiana-based steel production company, to provide a Project Manager to oversee the implementation of the company’s custom SAP instance and Hybris eCommerce platform.  Our project manager successfully worked with BSG staff and the Hybris ecommerce vendor to bring the new explorebayou.com Online Order Entry site into production.

According to BSG’s VP of Sales and Marketing, “We needed a full-time project manager to oversee the building and implementation of our new eCommerce system, but our own staff was already stretched thin. Antares filled that position for us, and also assisted with providing a new, client document portal as part of their work with us. They have been a tremendous asset to our business.”

Project Overview: Relogistics’ Velocity

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Relogistics is the leading provider of reusable transport packaging and pallet management services.  Relogistics supports customers at over 50 locations and processes more than 325,000 trailers handling almost 81 million pallets and almost 110 million reusable totes annually.  Their value proposition is simple – to combine their professional personnel with customized, cost-saving solutions for customers and their distribution center operations.  Relogistics handles all aspects of pallet and tote management – onsite or offsite – including unloading, loading, trailer stripping, pallet management, pallet sortation, pallet repair, reverse logistics, reusable packaging handling, tracking and other services.

Relogistics partnered with the Antares Team to design, develop and implement Velocity, a custom web-based enterprise software solution to replace legacy applications and spreadsheets.  The new Velocity application provides online visibility to all data – anytime, anywhere for both Relogistics and their customers.

In addition to real-time information, the new Velocity application enables Relogistics to present customized, comprehensive, reporting of all activity including detailed reports on the services they provide and all items handled. According to JR Vernon, Relogistics’ Director of Supply Chain Solutions, “By tracking all movements of our clients’ returnables and recyclables, we can ensure that they are properly cared for, compensation is fair, and costs are as low as possible.”
