Antares was contracted by the Louisiana Department of State’s (LDS) Information Technology team to develop the Business Requirements for a next generation Electronic Records Management System (ERMS).  The project involved an analysis and assessment of LDS records processes to provide recommendations for an implementation strategy, best practices and document the scope of the project.

The Louisiana Secretary of State is required by statute to ensure the proper management and safeguard of public records and facilitating public access to those records. Most governmental agencies are conducting business electronically which means that an exponentially increasing number of records are being born digitally. The State desires to implement an Electronic Records Management System (ERMS) to accept/schedule, store, maintain, access and destroy electronic records according to archival principles.

Antares provided skilled resources to perform business requirements gathering of current software and business processes.  The project engagement included review of software programs, business processes and working interviews with designated business stakeholders as well as the preparation of the deliverables document.

Project Overview: Gun Permitting Application for Law Enforcement Agencies

Antares created an online gun permitting solution for use by law enforcement agencies.   The new software program allows the user to submit an application and pay for a permit through the agency’s website.  This new offering provides a better and faster submission method for the general public.  It also enables the law enforcement agency to handle the requests in a more streamlined process.

The software is designed as a customizable, multi-tenant forms generator with integration to 3rd party payment providers.  This design allows for the configuration of a new form for any agency wanting to provide an online application. The software includes an administrative back-end component for the agency to process the application, print the permit, and notify the applicant of the permit status.

Project Overview: Bayou Steel Group- Embedded Staff

Antares Technology Solutions was hired by Bayou Steel Group (BSG), a Louisiana-based steel production company, to provide a Project Manager to oversee the implementation of the company’s custom SAP instance and Hybris eCommerce platform.  Our project manager successfully worked with BSG staff and the Hybris ecommerce vendor to bring the new explorebayou.com Online Order Entry site into production.

According to BSG’s VP of Sales and Marketing, “We needed a full-time project manager to oversee the building and implementation of our new eCommerce system, but our own staff was already stretched thin. Antares filled that position for us, and also assisted with providing a new, client document portal as part of their work with us. They have been a tremendous asset to our business.”
