Antares expands IT consulting practice in Houston

Houston, TX –January 26, 2010– Antares Technology Solutions, Inc., an IT consulting and custom software development firm, is expanding their IT consulting practice with an office and staff in Houston. “We have been involved in the Houston market since our beginnings 21 years ago.  Over the past two years our Houston sales have increased dramatically” says Antares Chairman and founder, William Wilcox.  “Our new office will allow us to better serve our Houston customers.”

Antares delivers enterprise application development, systems integration, business analysis, and application lifecycle solutions to customers ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small- and mid-sized businesses.  Antares serves a wide range of clients including the health care, energy, retail, and government sectors.

As a Microsoft Gold Partner, Antares will continue to work closely with Microsoft’s Oil & Gas practice and other local Microsoft representatives servicing companies throughout south Texas.  According to Grant Goodyear, Microsoft Partner Account Manager, “Antares has been a Microsoft Partner for over 14 years. They provide excellent software solutions and support to our mutual clients. We’re happy to see them expand their footprint across this region and look forward to our joint continued success.” 

 Microsoft selected Antares as an Inner Circle Partner for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) to provide increased value to their clients’ software development efforts.   Antares’ ALM consulting services enable businesses to better manage the life cycle of their software development projects, increase their team collaboration and productivity while improving overall software quality.

Scott Middaugh will head the Houston office as Account Manager.  Scott has experience in the sale of IT consulting services and application software to mid-market and enterprise organizations. 

Jim Cason will serve as Project Manager and lead technical consultant.  Jim has more than 17 years experience working within corporate IT and professional services firms providing consulting, design and deployment of Microsoft’s infrastructure products. 

Michael Anderson will be lead SharePoint consultant.  He has more than 12 years of IT experience with employers and customers ranging from the U.S. Military and Government to Fortune 500 Firms.  He has technical experience in Microsoft SharePoint – both WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007; and all versions of SQL Server.
